JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

The College/Unit of Harrisburg Housing and Food Services is seeking applicants for part-time job of mail/copy center worker.

The Part-Time Technical Service Mail/Copy Center Worker supports campus mail services. This opening is responsible for processing incoming and outgoing mail equipment and providing customer service to faculty, staff, and students. The role ensures timely, accurate, and secure handling of materials in accordance with University policies and procedures.

Job Duties

  • Sort, process, and distribute incoming U.S. Mail, interoffice mail, and packages.
  • Prepare outgoing mail, including metering, labeling, and shipping (USPS, UPS, FedEx, and other couriers).
  • Perform basic troubleshooting of mail and copy equipment.
  • Maintain accurate logs and records of mail and print transactions.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies and restock as needed.
  • Follow University safety, confidentiality, and data security procedures.
  • Provide courteous and professional customer service.

Schedule:

  • 20 hours/week
  • Monday - Friday, 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
  • Saturday/Sunday: OFF

Compensation: The starting rate for this job is $15.00/hour

 

BACKGROUND CHECKS/CLEARANCES

Employment with the University will require successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with University policies. This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid driver’s license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks.
