Job Description:
Summary:
The Part-Time Gameday Social Media Representative supports live game coverage for the New York Mets across social platforms including X, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube. This role assists with publishing in-game content, engaging with fans through community management, executing partnership deliverables, and capturing pre- and postgame content. The position requires strong baseball knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment throughout the MLB season.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Assist with in-game content updates across the Mets social channels including but not limited to X, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube
Engage in community management across social channels to strengthen the team’s connection with our fanbase
Execute in-game partnership requirements related to game coverage
Help with pre and postgame coverage including handling live streaming of press conferences, collecting content on field and other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
1 year of experience publishing social content for a brand or company with a substantial social media following. Sports team social media experience is a plus
Strong knowledge of baseball and the New York Mets
Ability to work collaboratively with Mets in-game social media team
Impeccable attention to detail
Strong written skills with full grasp of grammar and language structure
Advanced knowledge of Major League Baseball and the game of baseball with an understanding of online and internet trends
Self-starter with ability to work in fast-paced environment with non-traditional hours
Ability to work nearly all of the Mets 162 games (both home and road), flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects)
Bilingual is a plus (English and Spanish)
Demonstrated ability to identify high-quality content pieces
Minimum intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office required (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
