Summary
The College of Health and Human Sciences (CHHS) Career Services office is seeking candidates for the position of Career Program Specialist I for a part-time (20 hours per week) role. This position will lead the daily communication and outreach efforts of the office to increase engagement with CHHS students and with current and prospective employers recruiting CHHS students and alumni. The successful candidate will have strong verbal and written communication and time management skills.
The CHHS Career Services office supports both students and employers by providing students with resources and guidance for career development, while building relationships with employers to facilitate recruitment and engagement opportunities.

Example of Duties
Lead the daily communication and outreach efforts of the office
Promote office services, resources, and events to CHHS students
Communicate information about recruiting services and opportunities to current and prospective employers
Identify and develop professional partnerships with potential new employers
Coordinate and administer recruiting activities via CyHire (12twenty) online career management system
Assist with coordination of student and employer events, including day-of staffing
Manage records and analyze data to make informed decisions
Serve as a liaison to CHHS Communications office

• Individual contributor position with developing professional and/or technical skills working under immediate to general supervision
• Grasps professional-level knowledge and concepts of field while working in a progressive learning mode
• Works on problems and issues of somewhat limited scope
• Follows standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data for which answers are available or can be obtained
• Responds to inquiries and issues, escalating to manager or higher level workers as appropriate
• May lead projects of limited scope and complexity
• May provide guidance to students
