Part-Time Building and Grounds Maintenance Technician
Wage: $28.11/hour
Schedule: 7:00 am–3:30 pm, Monday–Friday (flexible; potential to work weekends and flexible start/end times; plant operates 24/7)
Hours: Minimum 16, maximum 29 per week; 6–12 hour blocks during production hours

This role is part of our Dairy Food business who creates dairy products that stand for real, simple goodness. We believe there’s power in every drop of milk our farmers produce, and by improving production and finding innovative uses for that milk, we add a little good to people’s lives.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with maintenance management to address building and grounds deficiencies
- Perform groundskeeping tasks: mowing, snow blowing, shoveling, lawn sprinkler maintenance
- Execute minor repairs: painting, tile grout repair, plumbing fixes, air leak checks, minor line repairs
- Conduct steam trap testing and documentation
- Support carrier press operations
- Assist with HVAC filter changes
- Carry out OSHA inspections (ladders, drains, boiler room)
- Operate rider mowers, snow blowers, and other powered industrial equipment (electric and propane)
- Perform fill work and replacement grouting throughout the facility
- Adhere to all standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- 18 years or older
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to read, write, comprehend, and follow verbal and written instructions
- Basic mathematical skills
- Basic Mechanical aptitude
- Must learn and use a computerized work order system

- Prior building maintenance experience
- Ability to work safely and lead safety efforts
- Experience in fast-paced environments

Physical & Environmental Requirements
- Frequent movement: walking, standing, bending/stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms, lifting, climbing
- Ability to climb ladders (fixed and portable) and work in high places
- Use of personal protective equipment
- Work in temperature zones ranging from cold to hot, and in environments with dust
- Shift schedules may include days, nights, weekends, holidays, and periodic overtime
- Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs
