Manage the storage, organization, and retrieval of bookstore materials delivered to the Lafayette Ivy Tech campus for student pickup. Materials will be stored and distributed from the library on the first floor of Gipe Hall.
Major Responsibilities
- Use the FAST software system to accurately record all required information related to material pickup. This role will require the regular use of a computer and tablet.
- Maintain and update procedures for operating the bookstore pickup location, ensuring efficient workflow and clear documentation.
- Perform bookstore-related duties during the following peak times:
- Two weeks prior to the start of each semester
- Three weeks into each semester
(Approximately five weeks total per semester; 25 hours per week, Monday–Friday, five hours per day. Specific dates may vary by semester.)
Other Responsibilities
- Assist with additional tasks as assigned. Duties will be performed in compliance with FERPA, all applicable regulations, and professional standards.
- Provide desk coverage as needed, primarily outside of the core 25 bookstore hours listed above. Tentatively 5 to 10 hours per week (to be determined)
- Some evening hours may be required.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma required, associate degree or higher preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and relevant work experience.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of student information.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in customer service, academic or public libraries, or similar settings.
- Strong organizational skills; self-motivated, flexible, and able to work independently.

This position reports to the Lafayette Campus Librarian as part of the Teaching & Learning team.
