THE ROLE
Under the direct supervision of the Security Manager, the Parking Attendant is responsible for supporting event parking operations, directing vehicles, assisting guests, and helping maintain a safe and efficient traffic flow in the arena parking lots. This position plays an important role in the guest experience by providing clear directions, assisting with parking-related questions, and ensuring all parking procedures and safety guidelines are followed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Direct and manage vehicle traffic entering and exiting parking areas to ensure safe and efficient flow during events.
Assist guests with parking passes, lot access, and general parking directions.
Provide directions to arena entrances, accessible parking areas, rideshare locations, and designated parking sections.
Support parking operations before, during, and after events.
Monitor parking areas for safety concerns, unauthorized activity, or operational issues and report concerns to the Security Manager.
Set up and remove parking cones, barricades, signage, and designated parking areas as directed.
Provide friendly and professional customer service by assisting guests and answering questions.
Communicate effectively with security staff, operations staff, and event personnel to support overall event safety and operations.
Follow all arena policies, safety procedures, and security guidelines.
Assist with maintaining cleanliness and organization within the parking areas and surrounding grounds.
Perform other duties as assigned.

There are no supervisory responsibilities in this role.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Customer service experience preferred.
Experience working in event venues, security, parking operations, or guest services is a plus.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced event environment.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Friendly, dependable, and able to work well as part of a team.
Ability to adapt to changing situations and event needs.
Comfortable interacting with guests, coworkers, and security staff.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Location: SNHU Arena- Manchester, NH
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays based on the event schedule.
Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Must be able to bend, reach, and perform light manual tasks.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 pounds as needed.
Must be able to communicate clearly and respond quickly in a busy environment.
