Seeking Paramedics interested in joining our innovative acute care team! Nebraska Medicine Paramedics function as an interdisciplinary team to serve acute, emergent and critical care patient populations. As EMS professionals in a teaching hospital, we exemplify the creative application of the paramedic role at the bedside and continue to expand the paramedic scope in the hospital setting. Since establishing our role in 2019, Paramedics at Nebraska Medicine have played a key part in expediting urgent processes and delivering efficient, high- level care for our patients. The Paramedic role in the inpatient “STEMI Protocol” has resulted in response time reduction to achieve rapid reperfusion for patients experiencing cardiac emergencies. Our hospital-wide responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Response to Medical Emergencies, Rapid Response Alerts and Code Blues
• Interpretation of stat 12-lead ECG at bedside and facilitation of cath lab activation processes
• Accelerating completion of diagnostic and treatment orders
• Achieve difficult IV access
• Reduce overdue medication administration
• Transport and monitor progressive and critical patients off-unit to radiology imaging
Nebraska Medicine Paramedics are dedicated to achieving extraordinary care alongside trusted clinicians and care providers. Join our team and make a difference!
