Minimum Requirements:
Previous experience in an emergency response role
National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 1001 level 2
Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP) or Primary Care Paramedic (PCP) preferred, currently registered with the Alberta College of Paramedics or current Registered Nurse certification in Alberta
Certification and/or experience in one of the following areas is preferred: NFPA 470 Hazardous Materials Standard for Responders (472,473,1072), NFPA 1002 Fire Department Vehicle Driver/Operator, NFPA 1006 Rescue Technician, NFPA 1003 ARFF
A High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record – a valid class three and four driver's licenses with Q (air brakes) is required

Responsibilities:
Respond to all emergency incidents on our sites
Provide world-class medical care for occupational and non-occupational injuries in a pre-hospital and clinical setting
Perform and lead daily equipment inspections
Show dedication and initiative in daily and weekly safety meetings
Strive to continuously develop and improve emergency response proceduresProgress through our Matrix Development program
Location and other Key Details:
You will work out of our Base Plant location in Fort McMurray, AB
This position has been identified as safety sensitive
The shift schedule is a 3 days, 3 nights, 6 days off rotation, cross shift coverage might be necessary at times
You will be required to perform some heavy lifting, use ladders and work on elevated work sites such as scaffolds, towers and within confined spaces
You will also be required to successfully complete an annual fitness evaluation
