What We Do

Performs substantive legal work under the guidance and supervision of an in-house attorney for a mortgage servicing company. Provides assistance to support lawyers by preparing, reviewing, and editing contracts, including master services agreements, statements of work, servicer notices, subservicing agreements, powers of attorney, confidentiality agreements, and other agreements. Maintains a file system for powers of attorney and executed agreements. Cooperates with operational leaders to finalize contact terms. Assists operational leaders to understand contractual rights and obligations.

This position is primarily work-from-home; however, occasional visits to ServiceMac’s Fort Mill office will be required to facilitate document execution, distribution of powers of attorney (POAs), and related activities.

What You'll Do:

  • Draft, review, and edit a wide range of contracts and agreements
  • Partner with operations leaders to review, negotiate, and finalize contract terms
  • Prepare legal notices, including contract termination and demand letters
  • Manage and maintain the client power of attorney library
  • Maintain an organized electronic repository of executed agreements
  • Educate operations leaders on contractual rights, obligations, and best practices
  • Provide additional administrative and operational support to the legal department as needed

What You'll Bring:

  • Typically requires 3–5 years of relevant professional experience
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Paralegal Certificate required
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to apply fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures within the legal field
  • Intermediate research, analysis, and summarization skills
  • Strong computer proficiency, including experience with standard office and legal software
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship‑building skills
  • Solid understanding of laws and regulations applicable to corporations
  • Detail‑oriented with a high degree of accuracy
  • Working knowledge of contracts and contract administration
  • Excellent time management, organizational, decision‑making, presentation, and human relations skills

Pay Range: $35.53 - $47.36 Hourly, Remote

 

This hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting. Pay is based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements and geographic location.
