The Team
The Real Estate Group at McCullough Robertson is a dynamic, high-performing team, handling a broad spectrum of property matters including urban regeneration, greenfield sites, master-planned communities, retail and industrial hubs, and commercial developments.
Our strengths lie in negotiations, due diligence, property acquisitions and disposals, joint ventures, complex title arrangements, master-planned projects, leasing, licensing, commercial contracts, and project conveyancing. With a solid history of delivering effective solutions, we are reliable partners in turning ambitious real estate visions into reality.
This supportive team provides you the opportunity to operate independently whilst having access to guidance from experienced colleagues.
The Role
As a conveyancer or paralegal within our Real Estate Group, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our authors across various property-related matters acting for both major landlords and tenants.
Your daily duties will include managing various conveyancing files including large scale transactions and settlements, preparing and reviewing legal documents, facilitating communication between all stakeholders and ensuring smooth progression of matters with minimal supervision.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about property law to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, high-performing environment.
This role is being offered as a six-month fixed term contract with the possibility of extension or permanent employment based on business requirements, though this cannot be guaranteed.
Experience
As the successful candidate, you will have previous experience as a senior paralegal role or conveyancer with the ability to manage matters and property sales independently from start to finish.
Experience using PEXA is preferred, and familiarity with property search providers such as InfoTrack is desirable. A conveyancing licence is not required, however, substantial practical conveyancing experience is essential.
You will have a solid understanding of property law concepts and procedures, strong drafting skills, and the ability to work autonomously while contributing effectively to a close-knit team. You will uphold a professional and enthusiastic attitude and be confident in managing a full conveyancing workload, with the ability to mentor and delegate to junior team members where appropriate.
Candidates from boutique, mid-tier, and top-tier firms with broad property law knowledge are welcome, with a strong conveyancing focus preferred.
