Position Summary

Our client, a law firm, is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Paralegal to support attorneys in the Trust & Estates and Real Estate practice groups. This role is ideal for a proactive professional with strong organizational skills and a solid understanding of trust administration, estate planning, and real estate transactions.


Key Responsibilities

Trust & Estates Support
  • Assist attorneys with trust administration, including asset inventory, valuation, and distribution

  • Prepare estate planning documents such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advance healthcare directives

  • Draft probate court filings and supporting documentation

  • Communicate with clients, beneficiaries, and financial institutions regarding trust and estate matters

  • Maintain and organize client files, both physical and electronic

  • Track deadlines and ensure compliance with court and statutory requirements

Real Estate Support
  • Assist with preparation and review of real estate documents, including purchase agreements, leases, deeds, and closing documents

  • Coordinate due diligence processes, including title review and obtaining necessary reports (e.g., title, escrow, and surveys)

  • Prepare closing binders and ensure proper execution and recording of documents

  • Communicate with escrow officers, title companies, lenders, and clients to facilitate transactions

  • Conduct basic legal research related to real estate matters


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program preferred

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of paralegal experience in trust & estates and/or real estate law

  • Strong knowledge of probate procedures, trust administration, and real estate transactions

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal document management systems

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management
