Job Description Summary:
The Paralegal supports the Legal Function by managing, tracking, and administering agreements, preparing noncomplex contracts, reviewing marketing materials including promotional texts, coordinating trademark work, handling company secretarial processes, and providing operational support to legal counsels in order to provide continuity, sustainability, consistency and effectiveness of the function to ensure a well-governed legal environment.
What You’ll Do for Us:
- Facilitate company secretarial work of the Company and its subsidiaries/associated entities by preparing necessary documentation such as BoD resolutions, general assemblies while ensuring timely completion of registrations, Draft PoAs, and Follow up accreditations and update the repository primarily with a focus of Turkey, Caucasus, and Central Asia
- Assist business clients in developing business terms for contracts, project statements
- Draft and/or review non-complex documents and provide legal language support to Counsels for contract drafting and provide support on contract lifecycle management to ensure compliance and governance for audit purposes
- Draft pleadings to be sent to execution offices, all types of correspondence, termination letters
- Compose, review, and make recommendations regarding promotion legal texts with the content provided by marketing or franchise department
- Review of package labels, marketing, advertising, and PR materials, to ensure compliance with applicable laws as well as the company policies
- Work with Trademark/IP Team in conducting trademark/bottle design clearance and in filing applications
- Partner with respective teams on issuance of proper authorization or consent for the bottlers
- Monitor local regulations and keep the business apprised of any new enactment and interact with outside counsels
- Maintain up-to-date and efficient all records for the department
- Follow-up of the budget of the legal function, i.e., outside counsel, notarization, litigation, travel
- Provide, where necessary, proper training to associates and management in relation to compliance, governance, litigation, trademarks, policies, procedures, and draft and send informative bulletins
- Observe and monitor ways of operating and drive innovation on processes to ensure having more effective and productive way of doing business
- Provide support to Eurasia & Middle East Operating Unit Legal Team in all manners
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in law (preferred) and/or associates degree in an equivalent professional school (Adalet Yüksek Okulu), and/or graduate from programs such as legal secretarial or law office management and/or having a paralegal certificate from a an education institution and/or at least 5-year work experience in a law firm and/or a legal function in a multi-national company
- Fluency in Turkish and English, Russian is advantage
- Legal research capability & legal mindset & attention to details
- Clear and easy communication & advanced English communication skill to take part in global community and good for importing and exporting best practice from/to other countries
