Job Description:

As the Painter, you will operate a variety of tools or special purpose equipment according to production specifications.  You will be working from drawings, route sheets, specifications, and instructions to determine operational sequence; set tools and select and set speeds and feeds according to type of material and finish requirements.  You will also perform duties associated with receiving, routing, and storing materials.  

** This role will be for the weekend shift- working Friday- Sunday from

5am-5pm, but you will get paid for 40 hours! **

Additional Job Functions:

  • Use surface filler materials to build up part surfaces, sandpaper to smooth.

  • Operate various types of hand grinders; use wire brush, files, and sandpaper to remove scale and burrs. 

  • Operate a Forklift and Overhead Crane, or willing to get certified.

  • Clean, grind, and prepare metal or painting operations; tape and mask unit to protect areas not to be painted.

  • Set up and operate spray painting equipment to apply standard undercoat sealer and finishing coats of paint.

  • Utilize both automatic and bench style power sand blasters to remove existing rust and slag.

  • Operate portable and stand abrasive belt grinders, portable disc grinders and buffing wheels to snag, grind and polish parts.

  • Exhibit strong attention to detail, consistently delivering high-quality and error-free work.

  • Ability to powder coat smaller parts from a conveyor system

  • Clean, prep and finish coating process utilizing coating tank.

  • Operate safety and confidently on ladders and at elevated heights to complete tasks efficiently

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications and Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED Certification

  • 1+ years of working experience working in a manufacturing environment

  • 1+ years of working experience in an industrial painting related role
