The Opportunity:
The Paid Search Supervisor plays a pivotal role within the Unlock Health Media team, driving performance and innovation across paid search campaigns for healthcare clients. This position is responsible for the strategy, execution, and optimization of campaigns that increase visibility, generate qualified leads, and support growth for both new and established service lines.
In this role, you’ll lead by example—developing and implementing data-driven search strategies, ensuring alignment with client goals, and delivering measurable impact. You’ll guide and mentor a talented team of paid search specialists, fostering professional growth through collaboration, coaching, and continuous learning.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, brings a passion for using search to solve healthcare marketing challenges, while building strong partnerships across teams and client relationships alike.
Responsibilities include:
- Develop and implement paid search strategies that drive traffic and conversions in close collaboration with internal stakeholders and clients
- Execute and oversee campaign development and structure-including keyword strategy, ad copy, and ad group organization-across multiple engines
- Work closely with a team of Paid Search Analysts to ensure adherence to process and performance standards
- Manage day-to-day campaign operations and provide real-time updates to the larger media and client experience teams
- Keep Agency up to date on trends and engine best practices
- Keyword research and ongoing analysis
- Optimizations, reporting, and insights
- Maintain clear and effective communication with clients, updating them on campaign progress and delivering actionable insights
- Collaboration across media planning, digital, analytics, and client experience teams
Additional Expectations:
- Maintain platform certifications and stay up to date on industry and platform changes
- Meet or exceed documented performance goals
- Develop and maintain optimization strategies
- Proactively provide performance updates and optimization recommendations to internal teams
- Continuously learn and develop technical skills to stay updated on platform changes and iterations, search engine algorithm updates, and industry trends
- Be willing to tackle initiatives that fall outside of your day-to-day duties, as necessary, for client success
- Work closely with Directors to develop and maintain thought leadership materials like POVs and Best Practices
- Constantly review and improve paid search team processes
- Mentor and foster growth of junior team members
The ideal candidate:
- Has expert knowledge of the paid search (SA360, Google, Bing) landscape, platforms and best practices
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel
- Measures and reports on the performance of all paid search campaigns and assesses against goals (ROI and KPIs)
- Collaborates with counterparts to craft narratives that deliver insights and key takeaways within cohesive, cross platform reporting
- Understands how additional tactics support each other in integrated campaigns (i.e. Social and Programmatic)
- Is measurement driven and has a passion for meeting and exceeding client KPIs, business goals and ongoing optimizations to achieve success
- Thrives in an ever-changing landscape while fostering an environment that allows others to love what they are doing
- Has healthcare experience and/or a passion for healthcare industry
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum 5+ years of paid search at an agency
- Experience in applying search marketing to brand-building & direct response initiatives
- Strong command of search engine research and reporting resources
- Experience leading paid search team
- Enjoys collaborating with internal and external teams
- Passion for the digital space
- Bachelor's degree required, BS/BA in Marketing, Advertising or related field preferred
