At Lyft, our purpose is to serve and connect. We aim to achieve this by cultivating a work environment where all team members belong and have the opportunity to thrive.
We are seeking an analytically minded MBA intern to join our Paid Media Marketing team and play a key role in Lyft’s upcoming campaign. In this role, you'll serve as a critical link between campaign performance data and strategic decision-making—translating reporting into clear, action-oriented insights that drive optimization and results.
This is an opportunity to work hands-on with real campaign data at scale, collaborate cross-functionally with media, brand, measurement and strategy teams, and sharpen your ability to tell compelling stories with data.
Responsibilities:
- Leverage analytical insights to continually optimize multi-million dollar budgets across media buys to ensure profitable ROI, including identifying insights, optimizing strategies and reporting on KPIs
- Work with external agencies to develop and execute campaigns while meeting business objectives
- Balance use of proven tactics with a thoughtful and organized test and learn approach to new opportunities
- Support market-specific test & learn agendas for paid media to quantify brand spend efficiency, measure impact on downloads and ride bookings, and optimize competitive messaging across markets
- Support day-to-day functions of paid media including briefing, channel management and optimization, project oversight, and critical metrics tracking
- Drive integration of paid media performance, research, and audience insights into campaign development to enhance targeting and personalization
- Develop strong relationships across a variety of stakeholders, including brand, product teams, social teams, data sciences, and 3P vendors to partner on media strategy and execution
- Create alignment with key internal partners through consistent communication, and act as a media resource for cross-functional teams that will help educate and support company goals and initiatives
- Support day-to-day functions of paid media including briefing, channel management and optimization, project oversight, and critical metrics tracking
Experience:
- Currently pursuing an MBA from a university in Canada (required) with coursework or experience in marketing, analytics, or strategy with a graduation date between December 2026 and Summer 2027 (required), with 3-4 years of prior work experience
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to distill complex data into simple, compelling narratives
- A bias toward action—you don't just report what happened, you recommend what to do next
- Advanced understanding of platforms inclusive of social, audio, programmatic, DOOH, etc.
- Strong organizational and project management skills; shown ability to set priorities, meet challenging deadlines, and work independently
- Curiosity about media, consumer behavior, and the evolving digital landscape
- Forward-thinking, analytical and a problem-solver
- Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Benefits:
- Mental health benefits
- In addition to holidays, interns receive 2 days paid time off and 3 days sick time off
- Subsidized commuter benefit
