KSNF, KODE, Fourstateshomepage.com has a part-time paid internship available through the Kansas Association of Broadcasters. This program will allow the ideal candidate the opportunity to experience firsthand how a television station news department operates. Candidates will be highly supervised while spending time in key areas such as News Operations, Production and Digital Operations, among other things.
The ideal candidate must demonstrate professionalism and strive to reach the highest standard of excellence. Interns are required to work a specified schedule and work in business attire. They must also possess a strong collaborative spirit and understand the vision and creativity necessary to put on a newscast. The ideal candidate will have strong comprehensive writing and communication skills.
Must have own transportation and flexible schedule.
Background checks are required.
Applicants must be college students currently enrolled in an accredited college or university and eligible to receive academic credit for the internship, as required by their educational institution. Proof of enrollment is required. At the conclusion of the internship, the intern selected will be asked to complete a post-internship survey and submit a brief written reflection regarding their experience.
