Packing Technician PM Shift (Compounding)

We have an opportunity for a Packing Technician to join our team in Compounding on the late shift (13:00-21:00). In Compounding, we manufacture patient specific products such as Chemo-therapy, nutrition and antibiotics. You will be responsible for supporting the compounding operation which manufactures aseptically compounded products, following SOP’s, GMP, GDP & EHS to ensure a high-quality product at all times. You will work Monday-Friday 13:00 till 21:00.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • To pack products of a high standard and release according to specific timeframes
  • To perform routine quality checks on the product as part of the compounding process
  • To check batch numbers thoroughly and escalate any problems
  • Follow standard operating procedures
  • To cover operators during period of sickness/annual leave (for example we might ask you to do the AM shift (06:00-14:00) on the odd occasion.
  • To understand the products are patient specific and must meet a high level of quality -        always.   
  • To perform and record all cleaning tasks for the equipment and areas of work as and when required as defined in the relevant SOP’s
  • To notify Team Leader/Manager and Quality Assurance of any deviations from the process

Experience required

  • The ability to communicate and work as part of a cross-functional team is crucial. You will be liaising with other departments such as production and quality most days so communication skills are an essential part of the role
  • Strong work ethic and flexibility to meet the business needs
  • Able to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Previous experience in a GMP environment would be an advantage
  • Reasonable computer skills, MS office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Excellent attention to detail (you will be required to check batch numbers and measurements)
  • English & Mathematics GCSE or equivalent
