Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance, Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards, Cleanroom: no hair products, jewelry, makeup, nail polish, perfume, exposed piercings, facial hair etc... allowed, Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.)

Job Description

How will you make an impact:
Join our collaborative team as a Lead Packaging/Labeling Technician at Thermo Fisher Scientific, where you'll manage pharmaceutical packaging operations while contributing to global healthcare. You'll provide leadership for packaging operations, ensuring compliance with GMP standards while coordinating teams to deliver high-quality products that support healthcare advancement. In this role, you'll manage room operations, support team members, and implement continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

Shift schedule: 6:30am - 3:15pm Monday -Friday

We have 2 positions available.

A Day in the Life:

Applies Good Manufacturing Principles in all areas of responsibility.

· Demonstrates and promotes the company vision.

· Completes all necessary paperwork prior to job start up.

· Assumes responsibility for all activities performed within their assigned production room

· Assign all production personnel in the room to a specific task and ensures compliance with the batch paperwork by having them properly demonstrate their assigned task to assess competency.

· Completes in process paperwork in conjunction with QA personnel.

· Ensures adequate materials and supplies are available for the completion of the assigned production run.

· At job completion all materials are accounted for and documented ensuring

accountability limits specified in the SOP’s are met.

· Participates and successfully completes required training sessions for Room Leaders, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), quality, safety, etc.

· Verifies that accurate information is captured in all batch records within all relevant IT systems.

· Communicates any problems with the room to a Supervisor.

· Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner.

· Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.


Keys to Success:

Education

• Minimum High School Diploma is required

Experience

• 4 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in pharmaceutical or regulated industry
• Preferred Fields of Study: Science, engineering or related technical field

• Leadership experience preferred with ability to train, mentor and guide team members

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Strong knowledge of cGMP, SOPs, and quality systems
• Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills
• Proficiency with computers and manufacturing systems (SAP, etc.)
• Strong mathematical skills for calculations, measurements, and reconciliation
• Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with automated packaging equipment preferred
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards
• Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

• Physical ability to stand/walk for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs regularly
• Ability to work in various environments including clean rooms, cold rooms (-20°C to 8°C)
• Vision requirements: 20/40 corrected vision, color vision discrimination
• Ability to work overtime and various shifts as needed
• Ability to wear required PPE including respirators, safety glasses, clean room garments
