CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities and tasks are written as follows:
Loads films, both forming and non-forming.
Programs Tiromat and changes programs as needed.
Records production to get film yields and keeps film inventory.
Sets up and operates machines, making minor repairs and adjustments as needed.
Monitors finished packages for leaks, gas mix, etc. and keeps seal area clear of product.
Maintains quality and weights, as required.
Adjusts depth of tools from different size packages.
Changes form gas flush to vacuum pack as needed.
Fills out production and down time reports.
Changes gas cylinders as needed.
General operation of Tiromat and Multivac machines.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Crew Leader and Supervisor.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred

Die fillers, open-end and Allen wrench sets.

The majority of the time is spent in the plant environment and will include wet or humid conditions (non-weather related), extreme cold and heat (non-weather related), working near moving mechanical parts, exposure to fumes or airborne particles, and chemicals.
Noise level is loud in the production area and hearing protection is always required.
Must be able to lift up to 80lbs.
Vision requirement of at least 20/40 for near and far vision.
No job rotation.
SAFETY EQUIPMENT/TRAINING REQUIREMENT:
Bump cap, hair/beardnet, eye protection/goggles, hand protection, hearing protection and safety shoes
MANDATORY TRAINING/COMPETENCY TO BE EARNED:
Proper lifting, PPE and chemical specific.
