In an era characterized by the increasing diversification of lifestyles and values, the challenges in marketing research are becoming ever more sophisticated and complex. To address these shifts and derive deeper, more fundamental insights, our mission is to provide new value across the entire customer marketing process by leveraging over 100 million big data points connected by Rakuten Group's common ID through composite utilization.
Within the Rakuten Group, expectations are growing for new data businesses that capitalize on our unique and vast data assets. In December 2024, we executed an organizational restructuring, integrating Rakuten Insight, Inc., Rakuten Insight Global, Inc., and the Cho-Mini Job (Super Micro-Job) business. This move established a stronger synergy creation system for data utilization.
Under this new structure, we aim to further accelerate the application of AI technology. Our goal is to achieve automation and sophistication in data analysis, enable real-time insights, and enhance the quality of decision-making support. Ad & Media Solutions Section is a division that provides issue-solving marketing support to a diverse range of clients, primarily advertising agencies and media companies. We achieve this by leveraging marketing research, AI technology, and Rakuten's extensive data assets.
This department is composed of multiple specialized groups responsible for: product development that supports data-driven decision-making; designing and promoting services such as advertising effectiveness measurement and brand lift studies; building and operating data-related operations; and planning, proposing, and delivering marketing research both domestically and internationally. Working in close collaboration with these specialized groups, our Marketing Research Consultants (Sales) deeply understand clients' marketing challenges and jointly drive projects to provide optimal solutions.

We are seeking highly motivated individuals to join us as core members of this new organization, to jointly drive the growth of our overseas research business, and to help shape the future of Japanese companies.
Position Details
We are seeking members to contribute to the expansion of Rakuten Insight's overseas research business for Japanese companies. You will work in collaboration with sales teams to successfully lead clients overseas research projects.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Operations Support:
- Collaborate with sales representatives to accurately understand client research needs and propose optimal overseas research plans (including creating estimates, schedules, and project proposals).
- Support the smooth progression of research operations after order acceptance (negotiating with internal and external operations teams).
Sales / Marketing Strategy Planning:
- Plan and execute sales strategies and promotional measures for sales growth.
- Propose strategies based on market trends and competitor analysis / Support new product development.
Collaboration with Overseas Partners:
- Communicate with overseas research partners and Rakuten Insight Global, Inc., manage progress, and control quality.
- Discover and develop new partners.

This position will be part of a 6-member global organization that includes foreign national employees. *As of August 2025
In the future, you will also have the opportunity to leverage the knowledge gained from overseas research for Japanese companies to challenge cross-border business expansion to international clients and to create new business opportunities in the global market.

Mandatory Qualifications:
Required Skills and Experience
- Corporate sales experience (3 years or more)
- Excellent communication skills (able to explain in logical and organized sentences and speaking style. Able to understand human speech and the flow of discussions)
- Project management experience (project Experience of managing the progress of projects as a project manager, regardless of the size of the project)
- Basic PC skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint beginner to intermediate level)
- Basic business English skills (reading, writing, speaking)
Candidate Requirements
- Strong sense of ownership and ability to work with a sense of responsibility
- Able to see things through thoroughly to achieve goals.
- Able to have their own hypotheses and implement PDCA to improve sales activities
- Understand basic marketing frameworks (3C, 4P, STP, etc.)
- Actively learn new knowledge and skills and have a strong desire to grow
- Able to respond flexibly to change and act independently
Desired Qualifications:
- Business experience abroad (e.g., overseas assignment, study abroad, collaboration with international companies).
- Practical experience in market research or the marketing industry.
