The Salvation Army (Salvos) is one of the largest providers of homelessness services across the country. Our philosophy is that every person should be afforded dignity and respect and that no one should be without a safe, affordable, and secure home. We provide services and supports to adults, and families with accompanying children in the form of accommodation, case management, assertive outreach, financial assistance, community connection and referral services.
About the role
As an Outreach Team Leader, this is your opportunity to work in collaboration with other members of this team to provide support to Case Management staff across 3 programs – Greenlight, Intensive Case Management Initiative (ICMI) and Women's Outreach Support Services (WOSS). You will be responsible for the direct line management of staff from a range of specialist case management programs.
Reporting to the Manager – Outreach Services, this is a permanent full-time role, located West Melbourne, VIC.
How you will make an impact
Lead best practice, client focused service delivery, ensuring trauma informed practice, adherence to service principles, up to date client files and timely correction of poor service
Manage and support staff through effective workforce planning, regular supervision, team meetings, training opportunities and a strong focus on collaboration and accountability
Ensure programs operate effectively by maintaining appropriate staffing levels and providing high quality oversight and guidance to staff
Oversee administrative and financial requirements including budget management, reporting to funding bodies, meeting KPIs and ensuring compliance with organisational processes
Drive continuous improvement through reflective, evidence based practice, critical and solution focused thinking and the development of systems that enhance service delivery and consumer experience
What you will bring
A Tertiary qualification in Social Work, or related discipline and/or experience in case management and or specialist housing support.
Relevant experience in a social service environment including experience in supervising
A current VIC drivers licence and employee Working with Children’s Check

Compensation is in accordance with Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Award Level 6
