Greater Lakes Mental Health is a key component of MultiCare’s Behavioral Health Network, providing mental health and substance use disorder treatment for over 10,000 individuals annually across Pierce County. Providing services for adults, children, and families with Medicaid coverage, Greater Lakes offers 6 convenient mental health care locations including a 16-bed inpatient facility covering medically necessary voluntary and involuntary services to adults. Our experienced teams, veteran nurses, and robust training plans are designed to support your success and growth in facilitating recovery-oriented and trauma-informed treatment.

Trueblood Medical Services team provides community-based medical support to Trueblood Class Members who are enrolled in Pierce County Trueblood Element Programs including FHARPS, FPATH and OCRP with low-barrier, jail and/or community-based, and timely access to medical care, medication maintenance, and prescribing services. This position is a necessary, ancillary, safety-net to address the gaps in the Medicaid-based behavioral health system while the Trueblood Element Programs work towards establishing long-term behavioral health care for the Program’s Participants. This program will ensure that eligible Program Participants have access to the health care that they deserve on their terms. Person-centered services and interventions will be provided that are equitable and racially just, using trauma-informed, harm-reduction approaches.

The Medical Assistant position at MultiCare will allow you to engage with patient customers while working closely with your clinical team to provide excellent customer service and patient care.

Responsibilities

  • You will perform direct and indirect patient care in a clinical area, assisting medical staff with patient care and follow-up
  • You will utilize your knowledge towards the integration of available standards, resources, and data
  • You will assist with office duties as needed, applying your discretion, good judgment, and diplomacy towards the excellent office and patient care management
  • Partner by implementing your service-oriented attitude, professional integrity, and solid decision-making capacities
  • You will effectively prioritize and apply organization and flexibility to your work duties

Requirements

  • Washington State Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C)
  • Current BLS Certification
  • One (1) year of clinic or hospital experience preferred

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $24.58 - $35.36 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.
