Job Summary: The Office of the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) provides operations support services and business solutions to the community of 10,000 House Members, Officers and staff.

  • Job Summary: The Office of the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) provides operations support services and business solutions to the community of 10,000 House Members, Officers and staff. The CAO organization comprises more than 800 technical and administrative staff working in a variety of areas, including information technology, finance, budget management, human resources, payroll, child care, food and vending, procurement, logistics and administrative counsel. This position is in the House Center for Well-Being, which offers comprehensive health and wellness support to enhance employee well-being, productivity, work-life harmony, and quality of life, enabling staff to thrive in their personal and professional lives. This position serves as the Outreach Coordinator of the House Center for Well-Being. The House Center for Well-Being is in the Office of Employee Assistance (OEA) of the House Human Capital Office (HHCO) within the Office of the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) of the U.S. House of Representatives Key responsibilities include the identification and facilitation of the outreach and engagement efforts of the House Center for Well-Being, including events, resources and services, and other wellness/well-being related activities; serving as a primary point of contact for House Center for Well-Being customers; participating in the development of a comprehensive wellness/well-being strategy and program, including coordinating webinars and workshops, and cultivating relationships with internal and external business partners; serving as lead on projects, programs, and other initiatives as assigned. The grade level at time of appointment is determined by experience and designated level of responsibility. The position does not have day-to-day supervisory/managerial responsibilities. Primary Duties/ Responsibilities: Contributes to all outreach efforts, including tabling and in-person events, educational sessions, and visits to individual offices to promote resources and services and deliver custom programming to foster a culture of well-being. Develop and identify unique opportunities to increase program awareness, visibility, engagement, and utilization. Support the Program Coordinator by coordinating and promoting House community-wide outreach activities, as well as population-specific engagement opportunities. Serves as lead on projects, programs, or other initiatives as assigned; plans, manages, monitors, and/or oversees tasks/activities. Serves as a primary point of contact for House Center for Well-Being customers who call or visit the storefront office. Attend and represent the House Center for Well-Being at both DC & district CAO staff conferences and other service fairs. Participates in the development of a comprehensive wellness/well-being strategy and program, seeks out opportunities to amplify the program, and assists with the delivery of all services, contracts, programming, and training. Supports the Well-Being team by coordinating and collaborating with internal and external strategic partners, including committees, staff associations, caucuses, and agencies. Guide and support the development of outreach processes across the House to support wellness/well-being programs. Remains current on wellness/well-being/health promotion industry trends, products, and best practices. Designs and develops educational activities in support of tactical objectives. Facilitates educational activities and trainings. Captures, stores, and provides access to documents and records as needed/appropriate; responds to customer requests in a timely manner. Gathers and analyzes data to measure success on wellness/well-being programs and initiatives; makes recommendations to the Program Coordinator. Reviews and updates standard policies and procedures as appropriate. Performs other official duties and special projects assigned.

Qualifications: Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in health promotion or public health-related field. Minimum of 2–3 years of relevant professional experience in program coordination and/or outreach. Experience in program or project management. Preferred Qualifications At least 2 years of experience specifically in a wellness/well-being setting. Knowledge, Skill, and Ability (KSA) and Competency Requirements Ability to provide administrative support. Project and program management skills and the ability to coordinate and manage a project or program across its entire lifecycle. Ability to ensure data protection and confidentiality. Skill in office management, including coordination of services, scheduling, and office set up. Knowledge of, and ability to instruct on, wellness/well-being topics, including, but not limited to, mental and financial health, work-life harmony, as well as nutrition & exercise. Knowledge of and ability to work with Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint. Ability to maintain confidential documents and information, and employee databases.
