Position Summary: Provides clinical and clerical support relating to department activities including patient care, registration, scheduling and direct customer service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintains strong levels of customer service in all interactions with external and internal customers
Provides optimal patient access to the clinic by answering phone calls and greeting all customers
Demonstrates proficiency with standard work for managing referrals thru use of electronic referral system
Identifies medical necessity and insurance eligibility to ensure accurate scheduling and billing
Executes registration and scheduling tasks at standard level of performance
Obtains and inputs into the medical record accurate demographic and insurance information
Obtains appropriate consent and regulatory forms from patient at time of service
May provide assistance to the licensed clinician in the delivery of rehabilitative-related interventions
May be responsible for equipment and supply inventory and ordering
Maintains cleanliness of clinic area
Assists with tracking of department data and quality monitoring
Completes multiple business/office duties as assigned
Completes required training to maintain standard levels of performance
Attends all required meetings
Trains newly hired service representatives
Serves as a resource for the assigned clinical area
Follows all department policies and procedures

Required Qualifications:
Education and Training:
High School Graduate or equivalent
Basic knowledge of computer operations, Previous office and reception desk experience preferred, Previous exposure to clinical patient care operations preferred
