$46.55 - $69.85Atrium Health Neurology seeks a qualified Neurology Advanced Practice Professional (PA/NP) to join our outpatient neurology team and provide hospital follow-up care at Atrium Health Neurology – Pineville, NC.
This is a rare opportunity to provide both in clinic and remote care with clinic time split between in office and virtual (50/50). You will collaborate closely with both inpatient and outpatient neurology teams to provide hospital follow-up care for stroke and general neurology patients. Major responsibilities include providing both direct and indirect care for patients in the post-acute ambulatory setting.
We invest in the professional and clinical growth of our Neurology APP team with numerous professional, research, and academic opportunities and are looking for someone that is eager to learn, driven, and motivated to provide the highest level of clinical care. The APP will participate in the education of learners (other APPs, students/APP fellows, nurses, and new clinical teammates) and with our operational leaders and stroke program coordinator to help support transition of care initiatives. Major responsibilities include providing both direct and indirect care for general neurology hospital follow-ups with a focus on post-stroke care in the ambulatory setting. This APP would work closely with our inpatient team to facilitate the transition of care process, and to engage with other members of our interdisciplinary team to help drive quality initiatives and reduce readmissions.
Our Atrium Health Neurology team consists of over 60 physicians and 30+ APPs across Charlotte fostering an engaged and collaborative environment. Our established APP Leadership structure, alongside our Center for Advanced Practice, provides support, advocacy, and numerous opportunities for professional growth while prioritizing well-being and cultural safety for our team.
Position Details
Provide general neurology care to patients in the outpatient clinic setting with a focus on stroke and general neurology hospital follow-ups.
Outpatient setting with roughly 50% virtual/remote work.
Desirable Monday-Friday schedule with option of 4-day work week (specific day off would be assigned but would be consistent each week)
Providing care in person and virtually for hospital follow up patients with a strong focus on outpatient stroke care, cerebrovascular risk factor reduction, and general neurology hospital follow-up care.

Ideal Candidate
2+ years of APP experience with prior experience in Neurology strongly preferred.
Advanced level of clinical knowledge and decision-making skills required
Must have the ability to perform with a high level of autonomy as 50% of clinic will be virtual.
Candidate must be driven and have passion for innovation, education, and collaboration.
