Lab Assistant II - Troy, NY- Full Time

Phlebotomy experience required.

What you will do:

To apply and contribute to the St. Peter’s Health Partners mission and values in performing a variety of clinical laboratory procedures related to collection and/or processing specimens in the Laboratory by following established procedures and protocols. Responsibilities include both phlebotomy/receiving and patient registration duties or special skills sets determined by the Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Phlebotomy Duties

  • Preparation of Lab Specimens

  • Rooming patients

  • Collecting Vitals

What you will need:

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

1. High School diploma required.

2. Computer knowledge preferred.

3. Medical terminology knowledge preferred.

4. Good communication and interpersonal skills

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

1. 2 years of related experience required.

2. Phlebotomy certification required.

3. Homedraw – 2 years' experience in phlebotomy.

Pay Range: $18.50 - $23.73

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
