Outpatient Behavior Health Therapist

Las Vegas, NV Full time

Provides psychotherapy and other clinical services to children and families in the Behavioral Health Clinic.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

Provides clinical services to children and families for Outpatient Behavioral Health Services.

  • Provides psychotherapy to children and families which includes but is not limited to clinical assessments, individual, group and family therapy.

  • Provides psychological assessments and treatment for youth referred to the Behavioral Health Clinic.

  • Conducts psychotherapy sessions utilizing appropriate interventions generally based on a cognitive behavioral theory.

  • Provides therapy notes, treatment plans, and other documentation in accordance with client record protocols.

  • Provides documentation for third party payment.

Provides supervision, consultation and data analysis to Boys Town staff.

  • Provides training in various psychological topics for clinic staff.

  • Demonstrates effective communication with coworkers, supervisors, and consumers while taking responsibility for personal and professional development through attendance at mandatory staff meetings and training sessions.

  • Actively participates in clinical and peer supervision to ensure quality of care and professional performance standards.

  • May assist in the supervision of interns in the Boys Town's Internship in Professional Psychology Program.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of behavior change theories and their application.

  • Knowledge of industry standards, technologies, and trends.

  • Ability to collect, synthesize, and analyze data relating to evaluation/treatment plans.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master's degree in Psychology or related field from a fully accredited university and 2 years of related experience required.

  • Experience providing adolescents and family therapy as well as experience in an outpatient setting and conducting intakes required.

  • Licensed mental health professional in the state in which practicing required.
