This role is based at Discovery Land Company’s private club, The Hills, located in East Quogue, New York.
We’re looking for a Seasonal Outdoor Activity Guide to join our action-packed Outdoor Pursuits team. This is a hands-on, high-energy role that runs from now to October 30, 2026, perfect for someone who loves the outdoors, loves people, and loves making every day an adventure.
What You'll Do:
As an Outdoor Activity Guide, you’ll help deliver the signature Discovery experience by organizing and leading fun outdoor activities, keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes, and providing top-notch service with a smile. You’ll be involved in everything from padel games to hanging out with children to bike rides to golf cart greetings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow our Outdoor Pursuits SOPs like a pro
- Set up, restock, clean, and prep for daily member adventures
- Join team briefings in the morning and help with daily close-down
- Communicate clearly with your team and managers
- Be a proud ambassador of The Hills and Discovery Land Company
- Show up on time and ready to go for every shift
- Help track inventory and supplies as needed
Member Facing Interaction
- Greet every member with warmth and enthusiasm
- Join in on games, activities, and events—have fun with it!
- Set up chairs and umbrellas, hand out towels, and help members settle in
- Keep outdoor stations stocked with towels, sunscreen, and more
- Light bonfires, park golf carts, and lend a hand wherever needed
- Always prioritize safety, comfort, and guest happiness
Qualifications you bring
- A friendly attitude and love for working outdoors
- Some experience in guest service or hospitality (bonus, not required)
- CPR certification is a plus
- Willingness to work flexible hours, weekends, and holidays
- Team spirit, a cool head in busy moments, and a professional vibe
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on your feet in all weather
