We have an exciting opportunity for Outbound Transportation Coordinator in our Venlo’s office.

 

 

What you will do:

This position is responsible for coordinating international shipments of finished good products into the Michael Kors’ Distribution Center. The focus of this job is to coordinate and manage all functions related to the company’s inbound logistics requirements. Applicants should be familiar with import logistics practices with a functional knowledge of supply chain management. The ability to problem-solve, work independently as well as cross-functionally, and be driven to improve service in logistics are essential.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor, track, and communicate the progress of inbound shipments to ensure efficient and timely updates

  • Approve daily ocean discrepancies for assigned MK division

  • Troubleshoot any delays related to inbound shipments to ensure quick resolution

  • Communicate shipment delays to production and customer service

  • Analysis inbound shipping options and costs related to hot shipments

  • Daily follow-up with service providers regarding shipment status

  • Audit, code, and/or resolve freight invoice discrepancies from service providers

  • Enter, update, and maintain shipments in RLM (ERP system)

  • Investigate and resolve receiving issues with receiving team

  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure on-time delivery and timely receipt of finished goods

  • Prepare and publish daily and weekly reports related to inbound shipment as needed

  • Identify and implement internal process improvements to maximize service

  • Develop best practices for import logistics processes

  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or 2-3 years minimum relevant work experience required.

  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills required.

  • Self-starter who is able to work with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to follow written and verbal procedures and work instructions.

  • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communications skills.

  • Superior organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to prioritize in demanding environments with tight deadlines.

  • Excellent time management skills

  • Ability to build effective working relationships with team members.
