Orthodontist Opportunity – Waterloo Family Dental (Waterloo, ON)

A growing in-house orthodontic program with strong case flow, advanced technology, and full administrative support

Waterloo Family Dental is seeking an Orthodontist—or a General Dentist who limits their practice to orthodontics—to join our well-established, multidisciplinary practice. This is an excellent opportunity to step into an existing orthodontic program with consistent consult flow, experienced clinical support, and significant room to grow.

You’ll be working alongside a collaborative team of 4 General Dentists and Specialists in a modern, well-run clinic that values communication, efficiency, and patient experience. This role is ideal for a provider looking for a recurring, predictable schedule in a supportive environment while building long-term relationships with a loyal patient base.

Schedule

  • Twice per month on Wednesdays (currently 8/9:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
  • Wednesdays are preferred, though flexibility on hours may be considered for the right provider

About the Practice

Waterloo Family Dental is a busy, full-service practice serving nearly 6,000 active patients, with 30–40 new patients per month. The clinic is located on the main floor of a professional building alongside medical and wellness providers, with free parking and easy access for patients.

The orthodontic program is well established and growing, with an average of 7 orthodontic consults per month and 3–4 case starts monthly, leaving strong opportunity for expansion. All financial discussions and predeterminations are handled by a dedicated Treatment Coordinator, allowing you to focus entirely on patient care.

Practice Highlights

  • 7 operatories with hygiene running in parallel
  • 4–5 hygienists per day, including a highly experienced orthodontic hygienist
  • Tracker PMS | CBCT | iOS Scanner | Ceph | CEREC | 3D Printer | Videa Health
  • Nitrous, Oral, and IV Sedation available
  • Fully paperless and well maintained
  • Shared dentist office space and lunchroom

Orthodontic Program & Support

This role offers the ability to practice full-scope orthodontics, including comprehensive fixed appliances and clear aligners. The clinic is well set up to support in-house orthodontics with:

  • An experienced orthodontic hygienist who assists with wire changes, checks, Invisalign inserts, bonding, de-bonding, and ongoing ortho care
  • Treatment Coordinators who send X-rays and photos for predeterminations to streamline approvals
  • A collaborative referral base from four GP providers within the practice
  • Marketing support to continue growing the orthodontic program

All new orthodontic cases will belong to the incoming provider. Existing cases will be completed by the current orthodontist to ensure continuity of care.

Why Join Waterloo Family Dental?

  • Established orthodontic program with room to grow
  • Advanced technology and strong administrative support
  • Multidisciplinary environment with in-house Oral Surgery and Endodontics
  • Loyal patient base and consistent referral flow
  • Flexible, relationship-driven approach to onboarding the right provider
