A Glimpse of the Job

The Organizational Development Training Program Specialist will assist the Organizational Development (OD) Department with logistical and communication needs. These will range from supporting logistical needs associated with the delivery of training courses, to department logistics, and assisting with successfully executing the department’s communication and marketing strategy.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

Training Logistics

  • Coordinates with the Training Manager to ensure training participant materials are printed and assists with setting up rooms prior to delivery of in-person courses.

  • Oversees training material inventory to ensure adequate supplies are available.

  • Handles supply ordering for items needed for face-to-face training courses.

  • Responsible for the scheduling of training and conference rooms for the department.

  • Serves as an onsite logistical specialist during face-to-face training courses.

OD Communication and Marketing

  • Coordinates OD Department’s communications and marketing materials.

  • Creates various communication and marketing pieces to enhance the department’s program offerings across the university.

  • Coordinates with HROE’s communication team to ensure maximum exposure of OD offerings.

Varisco Building Support

  • Serves as the liaison with the Varisco Building management for needs.

Other Duties

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Salary: $48,000 annually

Required Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • No prior experience required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Human Resources Development, or Psychology.

  • Some HR experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.

  • Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills.

  • Maintains attention to detail and utilizes sound judgment.

Other Requirements and Factors: 

  • This position is security sensitive.

  • This position requires compliance with state and federal laws/codes and Texas A&M University System/TAMU policies, regulations, rules and procedures.

  • All tasks and job responsibilities must be performed safely without injury to self or others in compliance with System and University safety requirements.

  • This position allows partial alternate work location per TAMU guidelines.
