Organisational Development Consultant

Location: Due to frequent stakeholder interaction, this role has a strong preference for UK‑based candidates; however, as a global organisation, Weir will consider suitably qualified applicants located in any country where we operate across EMEA. Business requirements will determine the final location

Purpose of Role:

This is an opportunity to play a hands‑on role in shaping how Weir grows talent, develops leaders and strengthens our culture across the business. Working closely with the Head of Organisational Development, you’ll design and deliver practical, people‑centred OD solutions that help colleagues feel they belong, grow their own way and do the best work of their lives. You’ll partner with HR teams and business leaders to turn organisational priorities into programmes and initiatives that really land. In doing so, you’ll help build a high‑performing, future‑ready workforce that supports Weir’s strategy and long‑term success.

What you’ll do:

  • Deliver OD work that makes a real difference
    Own and manage OD projects across talent, leadership, performance, skills, culture and change—turning business needs into practical solutions that are well‑designed, well‑delivered and impactful.
  • Be a trusted OD consultant to the business
    Partner with HR teams and business leaders to understand organisational challenges, provide OD insight and shape solutions that support priorities such as succession, capability building and performance.
  • Use data and governance to strengthen delivery
    Track outcomes and use data to spot trends and continually improve our products, contribute to governance and reporting that builds confidence, transparency and trust.
  • Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviours in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.

 What you’ll bring:

  • Solid OD or peoplefocused experience - a background in organisational development, HR, learning and development or a related field, with experience delivering successful solutions in a large, global or complex organisation.
  • Strong grounding in learning and OD practice - a good understanding of adult learning, OD theory and organisational change, with the ability to apply this in practical, business‑focused ways.
  • Consulting mindset and collaboration skills - you’re comfortable working consultatively across teams and functions, building relationships, influencing stakeholders and bringing people with you.
  • Analytical and deliveryfocused approach - confidence using data and insight to inform decisions, alongside the ability to manage projects, work in an agile way and deliver to agreed timelines.
  • Flexibility to travel globally when required – as part of a global team occasional travel may be required.
