Position Summary

Outgoing Quality Assurance (OQA) is the last line of defense for wafers that leave the factory. OQA technicians are responsible for detecting physical defects, discoloration or other physical issues on the wafers prior to shipment. Issues are then dispositioned and, if necessary, escalated to the appropriate stakeholders. The role will be a compressed workweek on C-shift.

Role and Responsibilities

Here’s What You’ll Be Responsible For:

  • Load, operate, and assist in troubleshooting AVI (automated visual inspection) equipment, perform defect review and classification, and execute microscope inspections.

  • When nonconforming material is identified, it is essential to investigate the root cause, create summary reports, and lead the response within the factory, with escalation as appropriate based on event severity and impact.  The OQA Inspector will have ownership for closed-loop verification of corrective actions and root-cause preventive countermeasures for recurrence prevention (CAPA). Strong attention to detail is required with accountability for errors.

Skills and Qualifications

Here's what you'll need:

  • Must have two-year technical degree, equivalent military experience, or 3+ years applicable experience in high volume semiconductor manufacturing facilities.

  • Experience utilizing and troubleshooting with Rudolph AVI equipment, SEMES review station, and/or Olympus microscope equipment is strongly desired.

  • Must be able to follow SOPs and identify nonconformities against specifications and quality standards.

  • Must have strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

  • Must be able to perform the visual and physical requirements of the position, including the ability to stand and/or sit during a 12-hour shift.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint software required. Understanding of SPC, AQL concepts and decision making; execution of action plan in response to failing results.

The current base salary range for this role is between $18.60 - $33.50/hour. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
