We are seeking an OpEx Finance Analyst in our Commercial Finance function, the analyst will be a key member of the team responsible for providing oversight and support for our fast-paced, innovative, and global teams. By leading activities such as strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, and month end close exercises for Operating Expenses, while leveraging analytics, forecasting, and reporting skills, you will help shape the commercial success of our business areas for senior leaders and the commercial teams. This role would suit an individual with a passion for data accuracy, efficient and automated processes, and reporting with an eye for details supporting financial control mechanisms.

Responsibilities:

  • Support and lead elements of the commercial forecast process by building models for the operating expenses.

  • Develop, design and automate spreadsheets and manipulate data using data transformation and automation tools, functions, formulas, and graphs as well as utilizing visualization tools such as PowerBI to undertake financials, reveal trends and analyze variances.

  • Act as Finance liaison and main point of contact for budget owners across Commercial, Product Management, and Marketing functions.

  • Analyze and benchmark historical patterns whilst assessing risk / internal controls.

  • Prepare and present ad-hoc analysis to support management decisions including variance analysis, as well as in root cause data interpretation.

  • Provide business partnering and support to senior leadership.

  • Participate in projects and initiatives to drive improvements in execution.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Management, Economics or related field desired

  • 5+ years of relevant working experience

  • Prior experience within commercial finance, FP&A or accounting

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Strong financial and analytical acuity, including familiarity with concepts of accruals, forecasting, budgeting and variance analysis

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to communicate analysis and recommendations in concise informative manner to non-finance stakeholders

  • Data management experience and the ability to manage large sets of data and accurate reports. Excellent skills with MS Excel is required; AI literacy and experience with data transformation and automation tools such as Power Queries are a plus

  • Prior experience with SalesForce, Oracle, PowerBI, HFM/CMR preferred

  • Self-motivated, with a high level of flexibility and strong work ethic with the goal to get the job done
