Job Description Summary
This position is responsible for operating and adjusting all process equipment [evenflows to discharge of pre-heater] for smooth and productive operations; monitors lineflow and waste; corrects problems which affect quality and production costs; and makes line changes as directed by the Production Lead or Team Leader.
Job Description
Owns equipment activity from Evenflows through Preheat.
Effectively cleans and maintains Evenflows through Preheat
Fills, operates, and drains all water systems associated with processing equipment in a manner to maintain levels, maintain quality, maintain equipment integrity, and minimize total water usage.
Implements changes to settings on all processing equipment, as specified by the supervisor, in such a manner to prevent problems with downstream equipment, keep line volume consistent, maintain product integrity and maximize recovery. This would include the Halo Vision System [optical sorter].
Utilizes process control system and maintain a feedback method with supervisors and maintenance to ensure systems function properly and maximize equipment and/or labor efficiency through automation.
Controls all processing equipment to maintain sanitary conditions and coordinate/communicate line downtime activities with Sanitation Lead.
Controls product waste systems to maintain sanitary conditions within the plant and maximize recovery.
Starts, stops, and adjusts all processing equipment in sequence for: Cut changes, Equipment problems, Line downtime, Emergency situations, and Shutdowns.
Uses process control system to monitor equipment efficiency and settings.
Monitors product levels in evenflow bins to keep line volume consistent.
Maintains blend rates to aid in achieving consistent finished quality.
Monitors raw product quality.
Monitors processing lab results and make/suggest changes to equipment and settings as needed.
Obtains a waste sample for the bacti lab once a shift.
Performs water quality/salinity checks on the PEF [pre-heater] and enter them into QA Process
Maintains constant communication with QA personnel, and Supervisor group.
Understands the function and hazards of various cleaning chemicals, and must be able to perform various product testing procedures.
Shovels product spills.
Performs cleanups as assigned and other sanitation duties.
Wears the required PPE.
Completes CL’s, CIL’s, and FSIL’s.
Performs other duties as assigned
Basic & Preferred Qualifications
Education: (Required & Preferred)
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
Lock-out/Tag-out, Forklift, and Sanitation certification are required. If you are not qualified, you will be trained and must meet certification requirements.
Skills and Experience:
Effectively communicate in English verbally and in writing. Ability to understand instructions and follow directions in English, both written and oral. (Requirement may vary by location).
Must be able to be qualified within time frames established by facility.
Ability to perform basic math functions, required.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic computer operation knowledge, data entry skills, and be proficient in Microsoft Office programs.

Exposed to a noisy environment that varies from hot to cold in temperature

Ability to do repetitious arm, wrist and hand movements required for job actions and procedures.
Must be able to work with hands and arms overhead, and to work in or under the equipment.
Requires manual dexterity, overall coordination and good balance to work both at ground level and in high places to perform job duties. Ability to operate work related equipment
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Valid Driver’s License and driving record that meets Lamb Weston Driving Standards
Exposed to temperatures ranging from -20 degrees below zero to 35 degrees Fahrenheit in Freezer Operation and 37 degrees to 90 degrees Fahrenheit in Plant Operation
May have to sample food while evaluating Lamb Weston products
Climbing to various heights via stairs or ladders on a regular basis
