REQ13812 Operator, Attractions (Open Date: 02/01/2026)
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Operator, Attractions is responsible for the safety of guests using the attraction and for strictly enforcing policies as described in the Attraction’s Standard Operating Procedures.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure that the safety of guests and employees is the highest priority.
- Conduct pre-opening inspections of assigned location and prepare for opening by sweeping queue lines, platforms, entrance and exit locations, and emptying trash.
- Ensure minimum required personal protective equipment as described in the SOP is present at the Attraction location and in good repair.
- Report any missing or damaged personal protective equipment to Supervisor, Attractions.
- Clearly communicate instructions and safety announcements to guests and monitor the Attraction location to ensure guests are enjoying the attraction or activity safely.
- Operate Attractions exactly as trained by trainer/supervisor without deviating from the SOP.
- Operator, Attractions will only operate attractions that they have been trained and certified to operate by their trainer/supervisor.
- Consistently practice safe work habits including, but not limited to, the proper use of personal protective equipment, safe lifting and reporting unsafe situations to your supervisor immediately.
- Control activity while in progress and constantly monitors the attraction while in operation, being prepared to stop or shut down the attraction should a problem occur.
- Administer and coordinate emergency first aid as necessary.
- Screen all guests to ensure they meet the physical requirements of the attraction or activity, in accordance with the SOP.
- Ensure adequate through-put of the attraction is met by working efficiently and allowing the appropriate number of guests onto the attraction as determined by the SO
- Monitor guests enjoying the attraction and be prepared to assist scared guests safely.
- Responsible for evacuating the attraction and assisting guests through various evacuation methods including: extreme heights, various types of platforms, stairs and ladders.
OTHER DUTIES:
- Understand and strictly adheres to Rules and Regulations established in the Employee Handbook and the hotel's policies concerning fire, hygiene, health and safety.
- Ensure high standards of personal presentation and grooming.
- Responds to changes in the family entertainment centre function as dictated by the industry, company and hotel.
- Attend training sessions and meetings as and when required.
- Carries out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned by superiors due to business requirements.
- Perform tasks and/or fulfil responsibilities that may be assigned by management and/or immediate superior as the business operations required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience
- Must be able to obtain a PNR Red CPR for Professional Rescuer Certification. Prior experience is an advantage.
Education
- College degree or equivalent.
