Job Summary
This position is responsible for supervision of the Non-Licensed Operator Training Program and the Licensed Operator Examination Team and will report to the Operations Training Manager at Beaver Valley Nuclear Power Plant. The supervisor will provide technical and administrative guidance for their training staff to improve Operator performance through training.
This position ensures compliance with Systematic Approach to Training (SAT), NRC regulations (10 CFR Part 55), NUREG-1021, and INPO accreditation standards, while maintaining exam integrity and supporting operational excellence.
Job Description
Key Accountabilities
•Oversight of Operations training programs following the Systematic Approach to Training (SAT) principles
•Oversight and evaluation of instructor performance
•Professional development of personnel
•Institute of Nuclear Power Operations evaluations and assist visits
•Industry participation through groups such as Utilities Service Alliance, WesTrain, Nuclear Energy Institute, etc.
•Nuclear Regulatory Commission evaluations and inspections
•Emergency Response Organization support
•Outage support
•Budget management support
Education, Experience, & Skill Requirements
•5 years of Commercial Nuclear Power experience is preferred
•Current or previous Senior Reactor Operator NRC license, INPO Instructor Certification or certification is preferred
•Affective written and verbal communication skills
•Prior supervisory or lead role experience
•Prior corrective action program experience
