Job Summary

Provides assistance to IT Special Projects and material management support for the Telecom operations project. Works closely with IT Infrastructure, Applications, Cyber Security, Telecom Operations, Telecom Engineering, Telecom Construction, Telecom Projects and Supply Chain to foster a team atmosphere striving for resolution to issues, transfers, receipts as well as continued technical innovations, & process improvements. 

This is a tier 2 service desk position consisting of workstation and setting up user accounts and applying permissions and troubleshooting workstation issues. No Server work.

Job Description

What you’ll do:

• Responsible for daily inventory management and logistics activities.
• Expedites material orders via the Material Management group as necessary, assists in the procurement of any emergency material, continuously reviews materials management processes and make recommendations for improvement.  
• Tracks material movement in and out of stores and laydown yards, ensures mapping of physical locations of the storerooms/laydown yards are up to date.  
• Accountable for completing the All Materials Received Task in ServiceNow. 
• Actively participates in meetings to ensure all material and logistics needs are being provided  
• Participates in monthly project meetings with Project Managers, Regional Project Managers, Field Engineers and Field Mangers and reports the status of material issue and collaborates with team to maximize logistics results.     
• Continuously reviews materials management processes and makes recommendations for improvement.  
• Review the BOM (Bill of Materials shows what needs to be ordered) and other reports associated with Telecom material management.  
• Provide cross-training to others when required or as needed. 
• Analyzes possible solutions using standard procedures or designs new solutions
• Obtains assistance with, or escalates, complex problems to more senior IT System Administrators for resolution.
• Implements enhancements, updates, software installation and system configuration to ensure equipment is functioning properly for AEP users.
• Creates and/or updates appropriate support documentation for the benefit of the team. Mitigates or escalates process issues and/or dissatisfied client concerns to supervisor.

What we’re looking for:

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related technical field is required. An equivalent combination of education and related experience may be considered.

Experience:

• In addition to any experience required above, 8 years' technical or relevant work experience is required.

Compensation Range:

$42.13 - $52.67
