Our Manufacturing Operations teams are the people that make our products. We work in the manufacturing plants with a "Safety First, Quality Always" mindset striving for continuous improvement. We work in the local plant connected to our global manufacturing network to ensure the highest quality of raw materials, intermediates and finished products.
Our Company's Animal Health division, located in Millsboro, DE is a Biotechnology Center of Excellence that manufactures, fills, packages and distributes vaccines for animals. Our site is accountable for mammalian, insect and avian cell culture production, live bird vaccine production, embryonated egg vaccine production, roller bottle vaccine production, bioreactor vaccine production and down-stream processing (water in oil emulsions, aseptic filling, lyophilization, etc.).
At all times, following Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures and adhering to all safety and company policies, perform duties assigned by department supervision.
Position Responsibilities:
Stock general supplies in general areas
Manage Kanban
Complete 5S daily
Transfer/deliver raw materials to production department
Assist in washing, prepping, and sterilizing equipment
Cleaning work area including tables, walls, and floors
Assist in the operation of the Parts Washer
Assist in the operation of the autoclaves
Assist in the operation of the Waste Decontamination autoclave
Concurrent record keeping including logbooks and all pertinent documentation
Demonstrate at all times, safe work habits and maintain a safe work environment. Understands and complies with all safety and company policies and procedures.
Assist in training new team members
Report all unusual, non-routine occurrences when performing tasks
Assist with performing non-aseptic procedures
Assist in reviewing SOP's
Assist in reviewing and signing off on all paperwork
Aid in planning and implementing daily or weekly laboratory assignments as well as special projects and other tasks
Attend training classes, workshops, meetings, etc., as required to improve job skills and product-related procedures
Education Minimum Requirement :
High School diploma or equivalent required. Associates degree or higher is preferred.
Required Experience and Skills :
Identifies and solve problems; Organizes own work to meet agreed-upon deadlines
Must have the ability to read, write, and understand information and to effectively communicate information to colleagues at various levels
Must be able to work a flexible work schedule to meet the demands of the manufacturing process - this includes overtime, holidays, and weekends
Applies knowledge and skills to other areas within production/department - act as a source of technical expertise for others
Must be able to work in a team setting and collaborate with customers
Preferred Experience and Skills:
Self-starter – starts and completes new initiatives
MPS (continuous improvement mind-set)

U.S. Hybrid Work Model
