Under general supervision, the Operations Support Specialist performs administrative and/or operational tasks in support of the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy.

Essential job functions (include the following):
- Perform a variety of administrative tasks and/or operational support activities to optimize workflow operations.
- Respond to inquiries related to daily activities of work area, and act as a liaison between assigned work area and internal or external contacts to communicate appropriate information.
- Organize and prioritize tasks in order to complete assigned work based on direction from Supervisor. Update Supervisor on status accordingly.
- Serve as a resource for the assigned functional area answering questions and providing general information or follow-up as needed
- Assist in problem resolution through knowledge of policy, procedure and practice
- Perform other department-specific duties and other assignments as appropriate
- Ensure customer service standards are met for the facilities and patients we service
- Work collaboratively with other supervisors/functional areas ensure smooth and efficient workflow.
- Other essential functions and duties may be assigned as needed
Education and/or Certifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Pharmacy Technician license/certification/registration (per state requirements)
Skills and Qualifications:
- 2+ years of related experience
- Advanced computer skills ; pharmacy operations system experience preferred/required
- Ability to work independently and deliver to deadlines
- Ability to solve problems with minimal direction
- Great attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment working on multiple tasks simultaneously, while adhering to strict deadlines
- Quality minded; motivated to seek out errors and inquire when something appears inaccurate
