Schedule: 

  • Monday to Friday, 8 hour shifts, with possibility of overtime (not guaranteed), will be day shift position.

  • Will be a seasonal position, lasting until the end of September 21, 2026. 

Position Summary:

Working in a warehouse environment, the successful candidate will primarily support the facility's operational health by focusing on damage salvage and inventory accuracy. The core responsibility is to identify and fix damaged cases within storage locations and record the necessary inventory transactions to ensure products are shippable. Secondary tasks, such as pallet running and receiving support, are to be performed only when primary operations and damage duties are complete. Please note this will be a seasonal position, lasting until the end of September 21, 2026. 

Essential Functions

  • Identifies damaged cases within warehouse locations and performs necessary repairs or repackaging so they can be shipped to customers.

  • Completes all necessary inventory transfers and transactions accurately within the system.

  • Uses a radio frequency (RF) scanner to scan products for identification and inventory tracking.

  • Processes product returns and manages damage salvage to minimize inventory loss.

  • Monitors incoming products for quality and integrity issues.

  • Operates power equipment, including power pallet jacks, in a safe and efficient manner.

  • When primary operations support is caught up, assists the receiving team by hauling pallets from docks to put-away locations.

  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment by completing daily housekeeping and janitorial activities as needed.

  • Performs other operational duties as assigned by the inventory or receiving leads.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

  • Ability to work in a fast paced, physically demanding environment requiring constant walking, ascending/descending stairs or pallet jack platform, bending, reaching, lifting and carrying

  • Must be able to read, write and communicate in English (to read labels, pick lists, scanners, signage, company website information related to benefits, updates, complete paperwork and follow verbal instructions)

  • Must be self motivated and be able to work independently or within a team environment

  • Must adhere to all safety regulations and procedures

  • Employees in all warehouse positions must be able to immediately perceive auditory warning signals such as bells, alarms, and horns that are used to warn employees of the startup, movement, or approach of equipment (including forklifts, turrets, overhead cranes, conveyors, trucks, and other equipment operated inside or outside the warehouse), mechanical abnormalities, and similar risk situations during warehouse operations

  • Performs other duties as assigned

  • Computer proficiency is considered an asset

Requirements:

  • Must be able to work in three temperature zones (grocery zone - 15°C, cooler zone - 3 to 8°C, freezer zone - minus 20°C)

  • Must be physically fit and able to repeatedly lift, stack, pull and carry boxes (up to 50lbs, occasional, up to 25lbs occasional, less than 25lbs frequent)

  • Strong communication and customer service skills with English fluency

  • Exceptional time management skills

  • Work well under time pressures
