Operations Supervisor – Serving Ellington Public Schools

Salary: $58,000 – $62,000/year based on experience

Your Role as Operations Supervisor

• Oversee daily dispatch, routing, and driver operations to ensure safe, on-time transportation

• Coach, counsel, and develop dispatchers and drivers to meet operational standards

• Monitor route performance, start-times, and safety metrics to drive accountability

• Maintain operational records, reporting, and scheduling documentation

• Respond to customer and district concerns in a professional, solutions-focused manner

• Support administrative functions including payroll, routing, training, and road supervision

• Assist with driver recruitment and onboarding as needed

What You’ll Bring

• Experience: 1–3 years in transportation, logistics, or related operational roles; supervisory and/or driving experience strongly preferred

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent

• Licensing: Class B CDL required

• Competencies: Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

• Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office and operational systems

• Adaptability: Ability to support both field and office operations
