Bolt

Operations Specialist, Riders

Paris, France Full Time

We’re looking for an Operations Specialist – Riders to join our France Operations team.
This is a high-impact, hands-on role focused on exploring, launching and scaling initiatives that directly shape rider and driver experience across France. While the role carries the “Riders” name, it is not limited to passengers only — it sits at the intersection of drivers, riders, operations, pricing, marketing and product, with a strong focus on unlocking underutilised markets and hubs.
You will work closely with central Ops, Marketing and Product teams, while spending significant time on the ground, especially in high-potential cities and hubs outside Paris.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Your daily adventures will include:
    • Identifying and unlocking growth opportunities across France by analysing performance across cities, hubs and use cases.
    • Driving field operations: visiting hubs, pickup points and cities, setting up new initiatives, testing ideas, and bringing creative, practical solutions to improve conversion and usage.
    • Analytics & performance monitoring: setting up and tracking KPIs (supply, demand, conversion, pricing sensitivity, hub performance) and translating insights into concrete actions.
    • Pricing & positioning: contributing to pricing strategies across different categories and markets, with a strong understanding of local dynamics.
    • Launching and managing mini-projects end-to-end, from ideation to execution, often in fast-moving and ambiguous environments.
    • Working closely with Marketing on local communications and activation campaigns.
    • Collaborating with Product, Central Operations, Legal, Data and Campaign teams to push initiatives at scale and share learnings.
    • Ensuring Bolt can meet every user need through the app by continuously improving operational coverage, availability and experience.

Requirements:

  • Ideal background
    • 1–3 years of experience in Operations, Marketplace, Business Operations, or similar roles.
    • Experience in a tech / startup / scale-up environment with a hands-on, execution-focused mindset.
    • Comfortable operating at national scope, with frequent field exposure.
    • Opportunity detection & proactivity: you naturally spot gaps and come up with creative, actionable solutions.
    • Analytical mindset: strong sensitivity to numbers, able to analyse situations and make data-backed decisions.
    • Execution & prioritisation: comfortable managing multiple topics at once and moving fast.
    • Project organisation: able to structure and drive mini-projects independently.
    • Data tools: comfortable with Excel / Google Sheets.
    • Thinks on their feet, adaptable, pragmatic.
    • Curious, creative, and comfortable in the field.
    • Ownership and accountability.
    • Collaborative, with clear communication skills.
Team & culture
  • You’ll join a relatively new and growing Riders Operations team in France.
  • Current setup: 1 Senior Operations Specialist + 2 Operations Specialists.
  • Strong collaboration with Belgium and central teams.
  • Structured onboarding with shadowing at the beginning and a clear onboarding plan.
Practical details
  • Contract: CDI – Cadre Forfait Heures (41h/week)
  • Languages: Fluent French & English required
  • Location: Paris-based
  • Work model:
    • 3 mandatory office days: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday (non-negotiable)
    • Remote work possible on other days
  • Start date: ASAP
Why you’ll love it here
  • Direct ownership and visible impact on how millions move across cities in France.
  • A role that combines field work, analytics, strategy and execution.
  • High exposure to central teams and leadership.
  • Fast learning curve and strong career growth potential.
  • Competitive salary, equity package and hybrid work model.
  • Part of an international, ambitious and collaborative team.
