About the Role:
The Operation Specialist is responsible for accessing client EMR information to gather relevant data for entry and reconciliation with company databases on a continual basis. This role works closely with our central operations team and external field teams to ensure accuracy of work product by identifying and correcting errors and bringing them to the attention of relevant parties where necessary. You will manage numerous client account data sets across multiple date ranges at once.
Responsibilities:
- Accessing and navigating Electronic Health Records billing encounter detail
- Entering and reconciling information in relevant databases
- Scanning through multiple sources of data to identify pertinent information to be extracted and recorded
- Provide regular, accurate reports of billing data
- Address and solving stakeholder questions and issues
- Securely handle client data and patient health information
- Correct errors and organize the information in a manner that will optimize swift and accurate capturing of detailed data
- Ensuring data is backed up at regular intervals
- Inform relevant parties regarding errors encountered and potential patterns emerging
- Research, record findings, and communicate effectively with Director of Operations to achieve optimum performance.
- Assist with billing audit-related tasks
- Contribute to team results by meeting individually assigned goals and deadlines
- Promote effective working relations and work effectively as part of a team to facilitate the
- department’s ability to meet its goals and objectives.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support Main Street Health’s Mission, Vision, and Values
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years’ experience in a relevant field
- Experience in a medical office setting with Electronic Medical Record (Preferred)
- ICD-10 Coding, risk adjustment and billing (Preferred)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Knowledge of MS Office Products including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- A sense of urgency and quality toward completion of duties
- Ability to concentrate for lengthy periods and perform accurately with adequate speed
- Proficient touch-typing skills
- Maintain patient and client confidentiality, always abiding by Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regarding Patient Health Information (PHI)
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Ability to learn quickly, build and maintain long term relationships and work with moderate to minimal supervision
