As an Operations Senior Analyst – Patient Optimization, you will help shape how medications move safely and efficiently through a high-volume, automated pharmacy environment. Your work directly supports patient safety, system reliability, and operational excellence—ensuring the right medication reaches the right patient at the right time.
In this role, you will bring together technical expertise, analytical thinking, and collaborative problem-solving to strengthen automation performance and improve outcomes at scale. Responsibilities
Ensure safe and accurate medication production by leading testing, validation, and implementation of new drugs and drug changes across automated dispensing systems.
Strengthen operational performance by auditing pharmacy automation equipment and identifying opportunities to improve accuracy, reliability, and workflow efficiency.
Design, maintain, and execute planograms across automated and manual dispensing channels to support safe medication movement and optimal system utilization.
Serve as a subject matter expert for PAC and Safire operating systems, supporting configuration, troubleshooting, and ongoing system optimization.
Enhance high-volume filler (HVF) operations by ensuring accurate drug placement, movement, and sustained system performance.
Partner with Drug File, Service Operations, and Pharmacy Operations teams to deliver smooth drug implementations and operational changes.
Investigate dispensing or system issues using root cause analysis and support corrective actions that protect patient safety and quality outcomes.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that advance automation efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
Maintain clear, accurate documentation of testing, audits, and implementation outcomes in alignment with internal standards.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Active Indiana Pharmacy Technician license.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in automated pharmacy operations, preferably in a high-volume or mail-order environment.
Demonstrated experience testing, validating, and auditing automated pharmacy equipment.
Hands-on knowledge of PAC and Safire operating systems.
Experience supporting high-volume filler (HVF) operations.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively across technical, operational, and pharmacy teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience serving as a Quality Response Technician (QRT).
Experience supporting large-scale drug conversions or system implementations.
Familiarity with pharmacy automation best practices and continuous improvement methodologies.
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree (preferred, not required).
