What you’ll do

Reporting to the Manager, Operations Process; the Operations Process Specialist is responsible for the successful implementation of performance and process improvements such as cycle time enhancements, throughput increases, and productivity/cost improvements in a retail environment. The Operations Process Specialist will apply change management practices and continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma and front-line training. The Operations Process Specialist will lead improvement projects with multidisciplinary teams to achieve tangible benefits aligned to the corporate strategy.

In this role, you will be expected to:

  • Work with leadership Lean Green Belt to execute the process improvement roadmap.

  • Support analysis of labour model drivers to identify efficiency opportunities and recommend improvements that enhance operational performance.

  • Lead and actively participate in operations improvement projects, applying a Lean Six Sigma methodology in partnership with business units and subject matter experts.

  • Plan and facilitate workshops, time studies, process mapping exercises, and reporting activities that support decision-making.

  • Collaborate with project subject matter experts to map/re-map process flows

  • Create and manage Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in partnership with business units

  • Manage the SOP Library (scheduled health checks and continuous improvement revisions)

  • Work collaboratively with field leadership teams to implement new SOPs, evaluate operational process opportunities and manage the integrity of existing operational processes.

What you bring

  • Lean Six Sigma and project management training, with 2+ years of hands-on project experience

  • Experience applying Lean, Kaizen, or Six Sigma methodologies within an operations environment

  • Strong facilitation skills and comfort presenting to groups of varied sizes

  • Advanced organizational and project management abilities, with proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across functions

  • Experience working within a retail location (nice to have – not required)

Our typical hiring range is between $53,000.00 and $88,000.00 per annum. Salary decisions are also dependent on other factors such as your experience, job-related knowledge, skills and competencies, market location, industry benchmarks, internal equity and other role-specific requirements.
