Job Description

The Prepaid Back-Office Manager is responsible for overseeing all back-office operations related to prepaid products and services. This role ensures accurate processing, reconciliation, and record-keeping for prepaid transactions, drives process improvement, and leads a team to deliver exceptional service to internal and external stakeholders. The Manager partners with cross-functional teams to support business goals, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the prepaid back-office team, including transaction processing, reconciliation, exception handling, and reporting.

  • Develop, implement, and monitor procedures to ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of back-office specialists, providing coaching, training, and performance feedback.

  • Oversee the resolution of complex issues and escalations related to prepaid transactions, ensuring timely and accurate outcomes.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support new product launches, system enhancements, and process improvements.

  • Prepare and analyze operational metrics, identifying trends and opportunities for increased efficiency and accuracy.

  • Participate in strategic planning, and resource allocation for back-office operations.

  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement, operational integrity, and customer focus within the team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in back-office operations,preferably within the prepaid or financial services sector, including demonstrated success in managing and leading complex teams.

  • Proven leadership experience managing teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and back-office management systems.

  • Exceptional proficiency in both verbal and written communication in English, demonstrated through clear, persuasive, and professional interactions with diverse audiences, including internal teams and external partners.

  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external partners.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience implementing process improvements and automation in back-office settings.

  • Familiarity with PCI DSS, AML, and other relevant regulatory frameworks.

  • Project management certification or experience.

Working Conditions

Hybrid/flexible schedule Location Expectations;

The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days. 

Standard business hours, with flexibility required for urgent operational needs.
