Solenis is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to support our chemical manufacturing facility in South Charleston, WV. This role is responsible for planning, scheduling, executing, and monitoring production activities to ensure customer requirements, quality standards, and delivery commitments are met—always with safety as the top priority.
The Operations Manager will provide strong leadership to production teams, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and partner closely with site leadership to ensure operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure strict compliance with all federal, state, local, and company regulations, including environmental, health, and safety requirements.
Plan, coordinate, and oversee daily production activities to meet customer orders, quality standards, and schedule commitments.
Collaborate cross-functionally with maintenance, EHS, quality, supply chain, and other departments to optimize plant performance.
Develop and implement cost-effective manufacturing processes and procedures while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives using best engineering and manufacturing practices.
Lead hands-on process troubleshooting, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Provide direct leadership to operations personnel, including performance evaluations, coaching, development planning, and goal setting.
Support the Plant Manager with monthly cost reconciliation, budget adherence, and inventory control activities.
Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with OSHA PSM, EPA, and DOT regulations.
Qualifications
Associate’s degree in a related field or equivalent industry experience required; Bachelor’s degree in Management, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline preferred.
5+ years of supervisory or management experience in a chemical manufacturing or operations environment.
Demonstrated leadership experience ensuring compliance with OSHA PSM, EPA, and DOT regulations.
Proven ability to develop, coach, and counsel employees while driving performance and accountability.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.

The expected compensation range for this position is between $93,530.00 and $137,181.00 plus discretionary bonuses. The exact compensation may vary based on your skills, experience and other factors permitted by law.
