Under the general direction of the Country Manager, is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the end-to-end operations within the company supply chain. This role focuses on ensuring efficient transportation, storage, and distribution of products, while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and ensuring product integrity.

This role is critical in maintaining company commitment to improving health and well-being globally by ensuring safe and timely delivery of products to healthcare providers, patients, and other stakeholders.

This position serves as a key leader in driving productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the storage and distribution day-to-day activities, including inventory management, order fulfillment, processing, and transportation, ensuring timely and accurate storage & delivery of products.
  • Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with business objectives, focusing on efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and scalability. Identify opportunities for operational enhancements, implementation of new procedures and technologies, leveraging data analytics and best practices to streamline workflows, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
  • Fulfills job responsibilities as a Technical Representative of the Clinical Trials Supply Chain Service in its country, according to legal requirements. Maintain and assure compliance with current ICH, GXP, FDA Good Clinical Practices, ISO guidelines or any other as required in the position training program.
  • Implement and monitor quality control procedures to ensure the integrity of products throughout the supply chain.
  • Assists the Quality Assurance team in the internal & external audits, providing all the requested information during the process and assuring the completion of all action plans.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining service excellence.
  • Supervise, train, and develop staff, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Conduct performance evaluations and manage workforce planning.
  • Monitor and report key performance indicators (KPIs), operational metrics, and financial data to senior management, monitor and work directly with P&L structure for the Country. Use data insights for decision-making processes, with implementation of actions to drive the results. Be aware of the metrics and ensure business continuity taking part in the planning process and business development activities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with providers, carriers and suppliers to ensure service quality, reliability, and cost efficiency.
  • Promote a culture of safety by implementing and enforcing workplace safety protocols. Mitigate risks related to product handling, transportation, and employee well-being.
  • Actively works in World Courier Guidelines review and update.
  • Required to be available on call 24/7 to provide telephone assistance in case of an emergency or urgent request.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or related Biological Science, International Business, International Trade, Logistics or related fields.

Work experience:

  • 5 to 10 years of Proven experience in logistics management, preferably within the pharmaceutical, healthcare, or supply chain industries.
  • 3 years or more of team management experience.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Full command of the English language: written and oral skills.
  • Commercial and customer focus.
  • Advanced Excel and Power Point.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards relevant to pharmaceutical distribution and general logistics rules applied to the Country.
  • Proficient in identifying inefficiencies, implementing improvements, and driving operational excellence.
  • Skilled in identifying root causes of issues and implementing effective solutions in a timely manner.
  • Ability to analyze operational metrics and performance data to make informed decisions.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders.
  • Skilled in working across departments and building relationships to achieve organizational goals.
  • Leadership abilities to manage diverse teams, foster collaboration and motivate them effectively.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously while maintaining focus on key objectives.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities, market demands, and organizational needs.
