Hybrid: This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to the Technical Innovation Center in Mountain View (CA) or Warren (MI) three times per week, at minimum. This position can be located at either of these 2 locations.

The Role

As Operations Manager for Infotainment & Connectivity PMO, you will play a critical role in orchestrating the delivery of complex in-vehicle infotainment and connectivity programs. You will ensure seamless coordination across engineering, product, and operations teams, driving operational excellence and enabling scalable processes that support GM’s vision for connected, intelligent vehicles.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead execution of complex, cross-functional infotainment and connectivity programs, ensuring alignment on scope, resources, and timelines.

  • Develop and maintain operational plans, track milestones, and proactively manage risks to ensure on-time delivery.

  • Coordinate across engineering, product management, and supply chain to support vehicle launch deliverables and resolve critical issues.

  • Design and optimize operational workflows for software integration and vehicle interface systems, driving process efficiency.

  • Facilitate change management and adoption of new tools, systems, and operational rhythms across teams.

  • Lead recurring operational reviews, readiness checks, and launch alignment meetings; provide executive-level reporting and dashboards.

  • Forecast resource needs, monitor program risks, and ensure compliance with safety-critical software development practices.

  • Champion operational best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to scale processes and enhance program performance.

  • Act as a trusted partner to leadership, providing insights on program status, dependencies, and strategic trade-offs.

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)

  • 7+ years of experience in operations or program management roles in fast-paced, technical environments

  • 5+ years leading complex software or systems programs with direct ownership of delivery execution across multiple functions

  • Proven track record in aligning cross functional teams, including product, engineering, supply chain, and operations, toward shared outcomes

  • Experience operating in matrixed organizations, with strong influence skills and executive presence

  • Expertise in Agile and Waterfall methodologies; fluency with tools like JIRA, Confluence, and Smartsheet or similar platforms

  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills, with the ability to present data-driven insights to senior leadership

  • Ability to operate effectively in high complexity product environments, particularly in automotive systems

What will give you a competitive edge (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Systems, Operations, or related field; MBA or Master’s degree preferred

  • Experience with IVI, Infotainment systems, or automotive interface software/hardware integration

  • Background in technical program management in R&D, manufacturing, or automotive product development

  • Ability to scale operational systems and processes to support evolving technology roadmaps and launch targets

  • Familiarity with systems engineering principles, validation cycles, and safety standards relevant to automotive domains

Compensation: The compensation information is a good faith estimate only. It is based on what a successful applicant might be paid in accordance with applicable state laws. The compensation may not be representative for positions located outside of the California Bay Area.

  • The salary range for this role is $143,000 to $258,800. The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.

  • Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.

Company Vehicle: Upon successful completion of a motor vehicle report review, you will be eligible to participate in a company vehicle evaluation program, through which you will be assigned a General Motors vehicle to drive and evaluate. Note: program participants are required to purchase/lease a qualifying GM vehicle every four years unless one of a limited number of exceptions applies.
